This smoked eggplant dip has a smokey, earthy flavor with tangy notes. A beautiful dip to have as is, use in the making of the popular Rahib Salad, or mixed with tahini will make a remarkable eggplant Mutabbal. This dip is also a fantastic side to roasted mets, think lamb chops, roast beef or even fish.

The eggplants used in making this product are sourced from the local organic farmers and we do not use any liquid smoke, or smoked powders for flavour, we smoke these eggplants the old traditional way using wood chips. We do not buy mixes or ready made sauces for our products, we make everything from scratch including the cumin spice mix in this case! you can simply place the content of the jar in a bowl, sprinkle with olive oil and some toasted pine nuts and serve with warm bread for breakfast or include it in your appetizers buffet. You can use as a spread in sandwiches, or as a dip with crudités, bread sticks or crisps. This is also a deliciousdip when mixed with some yogurt or tahini. Mixed with tahini it makes the famous Mutabbal and mixed with some finely chopped tomatoes and cucumbers it makes the famous Monk Salad “Rahib”. It is a fantastic accompaniment to BBQed meats. It works especially well with all things lamb meat.
